A Few From My Shoe Collection

I may have a slight shoe obsession but I think it is completely necessary to have heels in as many different colours and styles as possible. Here are a few from my collection. Some are quite old so may no longer be available but I'll put where they are from anyway.

These are the comfiest heels I own, they are perfect for times when you have to wear heels for a long period like a wedding or a day at the races. I have worn these to the races before and my feet didn't hurt by the end of it. They are by Love Label from very.co.uk. They are quite old so may not still be available.

These are the latest edition to the collection. They are from Newlook and were £13 in the sale. I got them two weeks ago so assume they are still available.

These are from Primark and were I think £10 in the sale. I love the colour and they are comfortable for a while but they can start to hurt after a long period.

My mum got me these from Newlook as they were a bargain only costing £5. I didn't have any black shoes at the time which I think is a must for any wardrobe.

I got these last Christmas, I think they are the most expensive pair I own. They were from Topshop and were £55. I absolutely love them. I looked at alternative cheaper fluffy shoes but nothing compared to these.

As you can tell by the toe area I have worn these quite a bit. I love the colours, the coral against the yellow upper. They are pretty comfy and I love wearing them to colour pop.

Festival Hairstyles

I love experimenting with my hair so thought I would try out a couple of festival hairstyles.

The first hairstyle is a Milkmaid braid, I have wanted to try this for a while but thought it looked more complicated than it actually is. It is best either the day after you have washed your hair or two days after. I parted my hair in the centre and tied one half up to keep it out of the way. I plaited the other side leaving a section at the front. I then clipped the plait going over to the other side and across the front of my head.I did the same with the other side and pulled the plaits slightly to loosen them. I straightened my fringe and curled the sections at the front with my straighteners.

For the next one I took a small section of hair on each side, twisted it and put a clip in to secure it in place. You can't see it properly on the pictures but they looked like little ears. I then put four plaits in, two on each side. It is really simple and you could add flowers or ribbons if you wanted too.

I would save this style for the last day when your hair starts to look a little greasy. Put a little dry shampoo on, a little salt spray for volume and put in the biggest flower headband you can find. This particular one is from Asos and cost £12. I absolutely love it.

Summer Lip Shades

I have a huge collection of lipsticks and lip glosses, I am a little addicted to buying them but try to get a different brand and shade each time. Here are a few of the shades I am loving.
The first one is by a brand called Kiko, I was introduced to it by my cousin and when I went to London I went into the store and that was when I found this gorgeous colour. It is called Pearly Fuchsia and it really lasts a good while after you have applied it. I also like the smooth glossy texture.

The next one is this really cheap good quality brand I have discovered. It is called MUA and is ideal if you are unsure of a shade and just want to try it out. I think this particular lipgloss was around £2 which is really cheap. I like how bright it is and would be perfect for a festival or a night out. The great thing about this is no matter how hard you try, it does not come off.

Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquer shade 304 Eclipse. I know it isn't summery at all but I love how dramatic it is and it makes a real statement whether you wear it day to day or in the evening.

I think I purely love this for the mirror, it is super handy to keep in your handbag and use the mirror while out and about. As you can see I clearly love the shade too as it is nearly gone. It is by Seventeen and is called Hollywood. I like how subtle it is and will definitely be replacing it.

I got this cute little Lancome lip gloss from a friend, it is called lip lover and is no 337. It is a subtle shade for daytime and is moisturizing too...bonus!

I have worn this shade so much, I just love this and it is really cheap. It is super summery and if you are wearing orange or have orange featured in your outfit it is perfect.

I don't usually do subtle when it comes to lip colours but recently thought I would go for a change. This is the latest addition to my lipstick family and I actually really like it. It is different to anything else I have. It is by Kate Moss for Rimmel and is shade 45 Rose Nude.

My June Favourites

Here is a little selection of things that I enjoyed using last month.

Last month I absolutely loved using Roller Lash by benefit. I have never seen my eyelashes look so long without false eye lashes on. People always seem to notice when I am wearing it too which is nice, I have had lots of compliments.

I have wanted a pair of Hunters for a while and because I don't really do plain or boring I went for bright orange ones. I love them and they would be perfect for a festival or to brighten up those winter months.

I discovered this by accident and fell in love, if you have ever been into Whittards you will know that they always have little testers for you to try. When I last went in they had a Lychee and Mango tester there. It is really nice and refreshing. The thing I love about it is you can have it hot or cold. I also like the pretty pictures on the tubs.

I have been liking these Tanya Burr lip glosses in Exotic Island and Enchanted Forest. It is so glossy and long lasting. It also smells really good and I know you shouldn't eat it but it kinda tastes nice too if you do by accident. I haven't tried the lashes yet but I'm sure they will be amazing.

These hair products are just amazing. My hair was quite dry and these have helped to give it the moisture it needs. The shampoo and conditioner smell like mint and the sea salt spray smells like coconut. I enjoy using them and the salt spray gives me gorgeous beach waves

My mum has her own shellac nail kit complete with the UV lamp. I sometimes borrow it and decided to use this colour change nail varnish. When I got hot it went blue and when I was cold it was purple. I think it looked really cool when it was half blue and half purple.

I have never used Yankee Candles before so being a candle lover I thought I needed to try them. The beach holiday scent is amazing as is the pink grapefruit, I haven't tried the other two yet. I am loving the little bucket candle holders.

Local Independent Market

My home town has an independent market twice a month which is filled with home made goodies. I think it is a really good idea as I love anything that has been hand crafted and that you can't find anywhere else. Here is a little insight as to what they had on offer.

There was this cute stall featuring 1950's vintage style dresses. This was my favourite one as I love the colour and print.

A very Wimbledon themed stall was selling strawberries and cream. Mmm yummy!

You have to go early for this stall as all of the pies sell really quickly. I bought my dad the all day breakfast pie and he absolutely loved it.

The next stall did home made smoothies. My boyfriend had a strawberry and watermelon smoothie and I had a raspberry lemonade with basil in. It was amazing and so refreshing on such a sunny day.

This was definitely my favourite stall selling brownies, cookies and a variety of cup cakes.

There were special american themed cup cakes with bacon and maple syrup in. I thought it was a nice touch for independence day!

I got some cup cakes for my family. I chose chocolate orange flavour, jammy dodger, caramel and mint.

I went for the chocolate orange one and had it with a nice cup of tea. It was incredible, even the icing tasted like orange. Can't wait for the next independent market just so I can get more cakes.
