Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor

I have been meaning to try these little beauties for a while now, I think the thing that most appealed to me was the packaging. They remind me of little highlighter pens, I also love how vibrant the colours are. I got three to try but now I have tried them I definitely will be purchasing some more.

Here they are, I got (from top to bottom) Seduction which is a really pretty nude shade, Amour a nice red and Obsession which is a vibrant pink. I went for three different shades and also I don't have too many nude colours which is why I thought I would try a nude.

I was very excited to try these, I started with Obsession. I love a vibrant pink especially around this time when the sun is shining and you have a little summer dress on. First of all I love the applicator, it is nice and wide and makes applying really easy. It also smells super good, kind of like a fruity ice lolly.

The colour is really pigmented, I literally did one coat on my lips and I could have happily left it there. It is easy to apply, the colour is gorgeous and you are able to build it up as much as you want.

Next I tried Seduction which I call a nude colour but I feel it has a little more pigment than a nude, you can tell you have something on your lips which I think is why I love it. Usually nudes for me are a no go as I prefer a brighter shade but this one may have converted me. I also have to point out that you twist the lid, I was pulling for quite a while and errm getting nowhere...awkward.
Super pretty and perfect for daytime for maybe work or just if you want something on your lips that is more understated.

Last but not least I tried Amour. I am a huge fan of a red lip mainly if I am going on a night out or for an occasion, it just makes me feel that little more dressed up. It has good staying power, a beautiful sheen and I just love the shade.

Overall I love these, I can not wait to wear them and I may have to get the whole collection. The colours along with the easy application and ability to be long lasting is what makes me love them so much.

April Favorites

Apologies for the very late April favourites post as we are fast approaching June and I will soon be sitting down to write my May favourites. April was such a busy month for me especially birthday wise, apparently everyone decided to be born in April. Thanks Dad and also two people who were born on the same day my Mum and Boyfriend. I was a good daughter/girlfriend and made each one a cake.

I think I may have put this blusher in my Boots haul but I am really liking this colour, it is so natural and pretty. It also has a double purpose with a little mirror and brush. I guess that's a triple purpose. Anyway the point is that I love it!

This colour, I mean wow. So summery and bright, I have been wearing this Loreal lipstick quite a bit. It is difficult to get off once applied so I recommend committing to wearing it once you have decided.

I jumped on the band wagon or horse wagon and decided to try this on my mane. It was from Amazon and I think it was £12 for the Shampoo and Conditioner. I have to say I was very impressed, my hair felt thicker and longer. I have to be honest it isn't something I could use all of the time but once a week or every other definitely worth a try. I felt as though I had more hair and that it had lots of volume.

I had been noticing that my teeth had a yellow tinge to them, I have always been very concious of my teeth and after having laser teeth whitening treatment always tried to keep them as white as I can. The drinking of tea and coffee had obviously built up so I decided to purchase some whitening strips. These ones were on offer and had good reviews from Boots, the thing that appealed the most was that you don't have to leave them on very long and the course was only for a week. I was extremely happy with the results and noticed a difference after the first couple of times using them. You get 14 strips and do one in the morning and one in the evening. I have put a before and after picture up, it is only a subtle difference but I can't believe how well they worked.

I got these Giant chocolate buttons to take to the theatre with me, they are absolutely huge. I could not believe how big they were but super delicious. They are from Marks and Spencer and are size the of flying saucers.

I am such an amazing girlfriend aren't I? Not the best picture as it was from my phone but this is the cake I made for my boyfriend Marcus. I have seen this style of cake in places like Pinterest and Instagram but I decided to do my own version. It was actually pretty easy to do, you just have to be creative with it. I even made sure the kinder eggs were Star wars ones.

Last thing while I am celebrating the creative things I have done, I have been wearing my denim pinafore a lot now the sun is shining. I am sad I can't wear it for work as I can't wear denim but I enjoy wearing it.

Newlook Sale Haul

One of my favourite sales has to be the Newlook Sale, I never fail to find something that I would wear however I feel that my bank card cringes every time I read the email telling me the Sale has begun. I bet it wants to run away and hide. In the most recent Sale I got some lovely pieces that I thought would be perfect for the summer season and also any holidays I have coming up.

I love this cullote floral jumpsuit, I know I will get a lot of wear out of it. It is so incredibly comfortable and I kind of feel like I am wearing pyjamas when I have it on. It cost £12 which is just such good value from £22.99. I have teamed it with a simple t-shirt but you could wear it without or with a high neck shirt.

This playsuit is super flattering, I especially like the flared sleeves. The colour and print is just too cute. I can not believe this only cost £6 reduced from £19.99.

This cute stripe a-line skirt can be dressed down for a daytime look or dressed up with a different top and a pair of wedges for night time. It was £12 reduced from £19.99.

I really like the cut of this playsuit although I think it is a little more revealing than I would prefer. I would probably wear a vest top to cover my non existent cleavage. Again this was only £6 reduced from £19.99.

A perfect length, I would happily wear this on a hot summers day or while holidaying walking along a beach. This was £8.

Both pairs of sandals were also from Newlook

The Bodyguard Musical Review

Last week I went to watch the Bodyguard Musical at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. I actually saw it in December too at the Palace Theatre in Manchester Starring Alexandra Burke as Rachel Marron. I loved it so much I just had to go and see it again and this time it was Zoe Birkett playing Rachel who did a fabulous job.
The 1992 film was about a famous singing sensation named Rachel Marron played by Whitney Houston who faced the frighting reality of being stalked to the point of receiving death threats.Bodyguard Frank Farmer in the form of Kevin Costner was called in to protect the Star and her son Fletcher. The film was Whitney's acting debut and I am pretty sure the only film she did. I have no idea why as I think she did an amazing job as an actress and should have starred in more films. The film got mixed reviews but the soundtrack to the film which featured all of Whitney's own songs was a smash hit.
There are a few differences between the film and the theatre show but I have to say I preferred the musical. I think it was because there were more Whitney songs than the film and being a huge fan of her music this was a definite plus, the story was the exact same but it was more like a mini Whitney tribute concert which I loved.
It will have you laughing, crying and up on your feet dancing. If you have the chance to go then I would definitely recommend going to see it.

I always have to get a programme when I go to the theatre, it's tradition.

Here is my cousin and I waiting for The Bodyguard to begin feeling very excited.
