Little Wales Trip

Marcus and I were both off last week so we decided to make the most of it and go to Wales for a few nights. We looked on air b'n'b, chose a really cute place to stay two days before we were due to go and we packed our stuff. We didn't want somewhere too far away (well specifically I didn't as I get too ancy if I am in the car for too long) so it was only a 40 minute drive. We stayed in a place called Landegla which was right near Llangollen, it was a quaint village and our air b'n'b was in the middle of nowhere which was exactly what we wanted. We pulled up to a set of wooden gates that took forever to open (it made me giggle every time) and we drove up a windy drive until we reached our little home for a few days. The lady who owned it was really lovely and even left us some milk, bread and welsh cakes which was so thoughtful. We had taken some food bits with us and I had taken some magazines to read, we just had a little chill out when we got there and went for a walk in the forest which was on the doorstep. We spent an hour or so in the forest exploring and taking photos and getting shouted at for walking on the bicycle path! We just stayed in at night time and made the pizza we had brought whilst watching Harry Potter.
The next day we went to snakes pass which is a road between two mountains, we stopped off there for a while then headed in to Llangollen. There was a beautiful waterfall there and lots of cute shops. In the evening we went to a local pub for a meal which was recommended by the lady who owned the place we stayed at. Such a good recommendation, the food was so good and it was nice to relax and just chat. On our way back home the next day we went to a cute farm shop, I wasn't feeling so well so I couldn't explore as much as I would have liked to but I am sure we will go there again.
I feel like sometimes it is necessary to take a step back from our busy lives and reconnect. It really lifted my mood being away, I didn't want to leave. I would definitely recommend the area if you want to get away from it all, I think we will definitely be back.
