Holiday to Portugal

Guys, I have the holiday blues. After leaving sunny Portugal where I went on holiday with my boyfriend Marcus and coming back home to cold Autumnal weather I just want to hibernate. I thought it would be a nice idea to look back at the place where I was this time last week,  I enjoyed the area we went to that much that I wanted to share it as an idea for others to go to on holiday. We went to a place called Portimao in the Algarve, our hotel was really nice and where we were situated we could walk into a town called Alvor which took around half an hour or there was a free bus to Portimao Town or Praia Da Rocha. We visited all of those above and had some fun exploring, eating and I took some photos of my evening outfit choices. I couldn't believe how hot it was for the time of year, we got a slight tan and had a nice dip in the sea.

On our first evening we went into Alvor Town and ate at a lovely restaurant on the harbour, the first picture was our view which was incredible. We had the most amazing food, Marcus had the Algarve Codfish and I had a mixed fish kebab. It was the freshest fish I have ever had in my life!

On this day we got a taxi into Portimao town to explore, we had dinner there and had a nice little walk along the harbour. I loved all of the sculptures along the harbour, one of my favourites was the blue birds on the side of the building.

The dish below was monk fish wrapped in bacon and was so good.

The one thing I noticed about Portugal was there was a lot of things made of cork and I fell in love with this bag and bracelet that I bought.

This was a tuna steak, I have never had it before and I really enjoyed it. So fresh and delicious.
I may have over indulged on a few crepes and waffles with nutella. This was the jumbo waffle which we shared.
The last two food pictures is a smoked sausage and my meal of steak on a stone which is a Portuguese speciality.
Such an amazing holiday, I can't wait to explore somewhere new next year. I am open to options so would love to hear anywhere nice that you have been on holiday.

September Favourites

I am trying to be a good blogger and actually upload my favourites post early for once or at least earlier than normal. Autumn is nearly here, where has the year gone?

Image result for models own chrome nail polish
As soon as I saw these Models Own chrome nail varnishes in one of my magazines I just knew I had to purchase some. I have the Rose Gold and the Blue one. They look really cool and I am obsessed, they dry quickly too which is a nice added bonus. They are about £5 each but I was lucky enough to get a deal on Superdrug which was buy one get one half price. I can't decide which colour to get next.

Barry M Supersoft Eye Crayon Brown
My other eye pencil had got far too small so I went for this Barry M super soft eye crayon, I am impressed by the colour. I have dark eyebrows anyway so I just need a pencil that will fill in the gaps and add to the shape and this certainly does both of those.

I used to have a cleansing routine every evening to take my make up off but since my Simple Face Scrub ran out I kinda gave up on the routine and my skin was not looking it's best. I decided to try the Nivea Micellar water for dry skin and my skin has been loving it. It isn't as dry or red as it has been recently and it is super quick and easy to use.

ASDA Little Angels Cotton Wool Pleat
Relating to my previous favourite, these giant cotton wool pads (that I had to go in the baby isle for) are so much better than the tiny circular ones I have always been getting. I would through about 5 each time where as with these you literally need one. They are a lot easier and even though they are a basic thing they make taking my make - up off in the evening a much easier task. I just got mine from Asda for £1.25.
Black Buckle Strap Metal Trim Chelsea Boots | New Look
I realised that I don't own a pair of black boots, I'm not really someone that wears a lot of black but you just can't go wrong with a pair of black boots can you? I went for this pair from Newlook, I always have to go down a size in boots which is a bit weird but I love these and they will go with pretty much anything.
Image result for white glo teeth whitening kit
I like to whiten my teeth every so often and with me having a friends wedding coming up and a holiday I thought it was the perfect time to brighten my teeth up. I went for the   kit. You get results within 7 days which was one of the things that appealed to me. I noticed a difference after once use and now I have completed the treatment I am more than happy with how my teeth look. It may be back to drinking tea coffee through a straw but it is totally worth it.

I first fell in love with the Chocolate Orange Minis Exploding Candy in January, I think they are a halloween/festive period special edition item so now that they are back out I could not be more happy. I also have been enjoying the Toffee Pieces flavour. I think I will have to stock up on these.

Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valerie

Last weekend my cousin Neesha and I went to Patisserie Valerie for afternoon tea, I had never been to one before but I can definitely say I will be back. I had such lovely time, the cakes are incredible and I had the best hot chocolate. I think one of my faves has to be the mini chocolate eclair, how cute. We were well and truly stuffed afterwards and even took a little box home with what we had left. I do love an afternoon tea, hmm were can we go next?

August Favorites

A very very late August Favourites. Better late than never...right? I think this one is one of my favourite 'Favourites' posts as sometimes it's difficult to find new things I have used or discovered but this time it was really easy and I just love each and every one of these items.

Superdrug Coconut Oil 125ml
I know Coconut Oil isn't a new discovery but I have been loving the effects that it's been having on my hair, I recently got shouted at by my hairdresser for how dry my hair was and after a trim and a small amount of the oil my hair is in much better shape. I just got this one from Superdrug which was £2.49. I like to leave it in overnight when my hair is greasy and wash it out in the morning, I smell like a human bounty when I have it in but it is definitely worth it.

beautyblender Sponges red carpet
I just got a cheap beauty blender to try from Boots to see if I liked it but I have also seen them in Primark if you are just wanting to try them out. Considering it was really inexpensive my make up goes on so much smoother and more even. I used to have really blotchy make up and by the end of the day my foundation would just be coming off, these sponges definitely make it last longer. I think I may invest in one now I know I love them.

I know I have recently put Elegant Touch nails in one of my favourites but how adorable are these Nails in the Rosie Bea range. I have been wearing them non stop, I like having pretty nails and these are a low maintenance way of achieving that. Completely obsessed with this range (not that I have purchased them all...oops) my favourites are the nude and copper nails as well as the molten nails I am currently wearing while typing this.

Image result for maybelline mascara
The falsies push up drama mascara by Maybelline is so good, my lashes have been looking so much longer than they usually do and it wasn't even that expensive. It is my new go to mascara, love it.

As a massive Sushi lover I just had to get this jumper, perfect for cosy dress down days. This was £7.99 from H&M.

As autumn is well and truly on it's way, I thought getting an autumnal lipstick would be very apt. I went for this (very dirty) Nyx matte lipstick in the shade Aria. I really like it, it is a little different to any other shade I have which is a nice change.
Ceremony Silver and Pearl Charm Bracelet
It was mine and my boyfriends anniversary last month (August) and he got me this beautiful bracelet as a gift. I was introduced to Annie Haak by my cousin and am forever looking on the website at all of the beautiful jewellery and now I own one.
Image result for corn flakes
So this is a bit of an odd one but last month I ate quite a lot of cornflakes, it was my go to cereal and I just didn't get bored of it. I rediscovered my love for them and I didn't always eat them in the morning either.

Making My Own Jewelery

I have a necklace that I was bought and it is a delicate silver piece with charms on, it has a sun and a moon with stars and a bead that is my birthstone colour given to me by my boyfriend. He calls me his 'Sun Moon and Stars' which I know may make some of you want to puke in a bucket but that was the reason for the necklace which I thought was really personal and unique. Inspired by this necklace I thought I would have a go at making my own jewellery as I would quite like some more pieces similar with the same personal touch.

I got the charms, necklace chains and rings from eBay and the fabric was what I already had as spare bits. I really enjoyed making these and I got quite creative especially with the rings and what I put in them. For a personal touch you could put a photograph in there or I think I may try putting some dried flowers in there to see what they look like.

Sister Act The Musical - Reveiw

Last week I went to watch Sister Act the Musical with my cousin and a friend. I bought the tickets ages ago so it was a nice surprise when it came around. We went into Manchester early to go round the shops and get some tea before the show.
I have always loved the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, the songs always put me in a good mood and I just like the character of Deloris that Whoopi played.
The musical followed the same story however all of the songs were original and didn't feature in the film but they were just as catchy. The cast were amazing and Alexander Burke did such a great job playing Deloris Van Cartier, her voice just gives me goosebumps. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and would completely recommend it. One of the highlights was the sparkly habits they wear towards the end, I loved those. The show also captured the same characters and personalities that were in the film like that of Sister Mary Robert and Sister Mary Patrick. A character that wasn't in the film but who I fell in love with was 'sweaty Eddie', I don't want to ruin anything you just need to go see it. Craig Revel Horwood did a really good job of directing the show and having his voice at the beginning was a nice touch.
